WHA Advocacy Day
Leaders from Holy Family Memorial recently attended the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Advocacy Day at Monona Terrace in Madison. Those representing HFM included board member Kathleen Zucchi, directors Ruth Rodda, Julie Dionne and Tim Klein, team leaders Jean Pankratz and Barb Mirsberger, and administrative intern Shawn Daughenbaugh.
WHA’s Advocacy Day is an annual legislative event designed to motivate and educate health care employees, volunteers and trustees on health-related issues and grassroots advocacy opportunities. Attendees also have the opportunity to visit with their legislators and/or their staff and are encouraged to do so. This year, the event attracted over 800 attendees.
Ruth Rodda, Director of HFM’s Women & Children’s Center had the opportunity to speak with 30th District State Senator Dave Hansen at the recent WHA Advocacy Day in Madison about issues related to health care reimbursements and quality care.
