Monday, April 13, 2015 - Parkinson Disease Free Seminar


Holy Family Memorial is hosting a free seminar, “Exercise 4 BrainChange®” for individuals with Parkinson Disease on Friday, April 17 from 1-3 p.m. at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, 2300 Western Avenue, in the Manitowoc Room. Their family members and support persons are also invited to attend.

Participants of this seminar will receive valuable information to optimize brain health and learning, and to better address the motor, cognitive and emotional symptoms of Parkinson Disease. The talk will also address the most recent research-based evidence and advocates for exercise as a first line of defense in Parkinson Disease.

The seminar will be presented by Claire McLean, DPT, NCS, of the national Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!) program. Dr. McLean is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. She graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California and has specialty training through the University of Southern California/Rancho Los Amigos Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program.
