Friday, August 12, 2016 - Dr. Dean Pollnow Named Holy Family Memorial New Chief Medical Officer

Dean Pollnow, MD, has been named Chief Medical Officer for Holy Family Memorial, effective August 22. He will assume the position held by Steven Driggers, MD, who will remain with HFM to assist Dr. Pollnow with the transition to this important role. Dr Driggers will continue to serve HFM as Senior Advisor and Medical Resource through 2017. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pollnow will provide senior leadership as well as oversee the group of 90 distinguished providers including quality oversight, medical practice management and strategic positioning.

Most recently, Dr. Pollnow served as an obstetrician and gynecologist at Ministry Medical Group in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Since 2009 he also served in a leadership role when he became medical director of the Women’s Health department. He progressively added to his leadership role, since 2011, he served as Ministry Medical Group’s Northern Region Medical Director for Medical Specialties and Surgical Services, and was the Chief of Staff/Medical Staff President for Sacred Heart and Saint Mary’s Hospitals.

Dr. Pollnow is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecological medicine. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin and has been in practice for 21 years. He completed an internship at Waukesha Family Practice, Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center, prior to beginning his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center. Dr. Pollnow also has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Pollnow and his wife Margaret are the parents of three grown children—Nicole, Brian and Nathan. In his free time, Dr. Pollnow enjoys spending time with his family, sports, physical fitness and outdoor recreation. He is also a pilot and enjoys flying.
