Monday, March 28, 2016 - HFM Announces 1st Quarter Inspired Caring Award Winners

Holy Family Memorial recognizes Sue Allen, senior marketing coordinator, and Barbara Waid, welcome desk volunteer, as the first quarter HFM Inspired Caring Award recipients.

Allen has been employed with HFM for more than 25 years. Her nominator wrote that “…Her gracious attitude and willingness toward helping others demonstrates her well known Compassion…Her knowledge of HFM history is invaluable and she has become the resident historian of both the network and the people who serve here.”

Waid has been volunteering for HFM since 2009 and has accumulated more than 1,270 service hours to date. Waid’s nominator noted how she “…provides a warm and hospitable presence at the Welcome Desk with her super friendly disposition and genuine interest in everyone who comes through the revolving doors or up and down the main corridors at Harbor Town campus…She is a self-appointed ‘sub’ for any of the other volunteers who cannot come in; responding graciously and willingly on a minute’s notice when called upon…”

The Inspired Caring Award is presented quarterly to an employee and volunteer who exemplify HFM’s core values of stewardship, excellence, respect, innovative care, and compassion. HFM employees have the opportunity each quarter to nominate a colleague or volunteer who strongly demonstrates all of the core values.
