HFM to Offer Sportsmetrics Training Program for Student Athletes
Holy Family Memorial is offering its Sportsmetrics™ knee injury prevention program this summer to help student athletes reduce anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and improve athletic performance. Sportsmetrics is the first ACL injury prevention program scientifically proven to help young athletes avoid non-contact ACL injuries and improve performance.
During the six-week jump training program, participants will meet in small groups three times per week for approximately one and one-half hours with a certified Sportsmetrics instructor. Through specialized progression of jump/plyometric drills, athletes learn proper techniques for jumping and landing; increase overall leg strength; improve symmetry in right-to-left leg power and improve vertical jump.
