Holy Family Memorial named among Becker’s Hospital Review 100 Great Community Hospitals.
Manitowoc County residents have one of the nation’s top community hospitals in their own backyard. Holy Family Memorial has been named one of the 100 Great Community Hospitals for 2016 by Becker’s Hospital Review®.
According to Becker’s, a “community hospital” is defined as one with fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs. HFM has served Manitowoc County for 117 years, even when it opened in 1899, HFM was nationally recognized for innovation in design, featuring state of the art patient access and transportation.
Mark Herzog, president and chief executive officer at Holy Family Memorial, says Becker’s designation is a testament to their Right Care philosophy in providing patients with the right care in the right setting, to get the right outcomes.

In creating the Top 100 list, Becker’s selected hospitals based on rankings and awards from organizations including iVantage Health Analytics®, Truven Health Analytics®, Healthgrades®, CareChex®, the American Nurses Credentialing Center®, and the Leapfrog Group®.
HFM has received various recognitions, including being named one of iVantage’s 2016 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals and distinguished with a five-star Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems(HHCAHPS) rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
