Valders Area School District Partners with HFM's Transcend
Valders Area School District announced that it is partnering with Transcend to open an onsite health and wellness center in March. Transcend, a Holy Family Memorial service that provides customized employer and occupational health solutions, will operate the health and wellness center.
A nurse practitioner will staff the health and wellness center, where services include care for acute medical conditions, such as the cold and flu; and management and treatment of chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood. Services at the onsite health and wellness center will be provided at no charge for district employees and their families.
“We would like to thank the Wisconsin Counties Group Health Trust for giving our employees and their families the opportunity to be their healthiest, and we are excited about this partnership with Holy Family Memorial to bring employee health services to our district,” said Valders Area School District superintendent Debra Hunt. “The onsite health and wellness center will be a huge benefit for our employees. Employees can save money and they’ll have convenient, timely access to a healthcare provider.
Transcend aims to help employers reduce healthcare costs by offering range of employer and occupational health services including health and wellness centers, onsite nursing and other onsite services, drug and alcohol testing, worksite wellness programs, health risk assessments and biometric screenings, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), physical examinations, and other employer health services.
“We are excited to be partnering with Valders Area School District to improve the health and well-being of their employees,” said David Yeghiaian, HFM Administrative Director, Corporate Development & Strategic Growth. “The onsite clinic makes quality healthcare more easily accessible to school district employees and their families when they need it. Not only will the health and wellness center provides employees the opportunity to take an active role in their own health, but it will help lower overall healthcare costs for the school district.”
The health and wellness center will be located inside the Valders Area School District, at 138 E. Wilson Street, Valders, and will be open every Wednesday. Hours open are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of the month, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
