Welcome Dr. El-Baghdadi, New Family Pain Management Physician
Holy Family Memorial is pleased to announce that Mariam El-Baghdadi, MD, has joined the HFM Pain Clinic.
Dr. El-Baghdadi obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed an internship in internal medicine and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. El-Baghdadi is fellowship trained in pain management through MD Anderson Cancer Center associated with the University of Texas in Houston, where she served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. El-Baghdadi brings a wealth of experience to the practice and enjoys helping patients achieve a better quality of life. She utilizes a philosophy that limits the use of pain medications, instead she focuses on minimally invasive procedures that help control her patient’s discomfort. She has presented at national meetings including the American Association of Pain Management and American Society of Anesthesiology. She has also published articles in the Journal of Pain Medicine, Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and the Journal of Supportive Oncology. She is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
