We Welcome Four New Nurse Practitioners
Continuing its mission to provide high quality medical services to the community, Holy Family Memorial welcomes four new certified nurse practitioners to its network of healthcare providers.
Nurse practitioners hold a master’s or doctoral degree in nursing which allows them to assess, diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions. They can also order and interpret tests, write prescriptions and perform common in-office procedures.
Kelly Eells, FNP-BC, is a board certified nurse practitioner with HFM Otolaryngology and has more than 27 years of nursing experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Bellin College of Nursing and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her clinical health interests include disorders of the ear, nose and throat, thyroid disorders, allergies, and head and neck cancer. The following three nurse practitioners joined HFM’s primary care team: Melissa Koss, FNP-BC, Ashley Micksch, DNP, APNP, FNP-BC, and Rhonda Zimmerman, APNP, NP-C.
Melissa Koss is located at HFM Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center Clinic. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. While working for HFM as a registered nurse, Koss earned her master’s degree from Concordia University in Mequon. Koss’ clinical interest are chronic disease management, nutrition and fitness management, preventive health and a focus on primary care. Ashley Micksch and Rhonda Zimmermann are both located at HFM Internal Medicine and HFM Two Rivers Health Center. While employed with Holy Family Memorial, Micksch earned her doctorate of nursing practice degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she also received her undergraduate degree. She is the first nurse practitioner at HFM to have earned a doctorate of nursing practice degree. Her clinical interests include diabetes, hypertension, primary care and preventive health.
Zimmermann received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She is an experienced nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience primarily focused in both family practice and walk-in urgent care settings. Zimmermann’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive health, primary care and women’s health.
