New belly button surgery at HFM Women's Health

The laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is one of the latest advancements in the treatment of a number of gynecological disorders. A typical laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is performed in under two hours and oftentimes in as little as one hour. Patients normally are discharged home the night of surgery, however some patients will require an overnight stay with discharge the next morning.

Advances in computing and laparoscopic surgical instrumentation have given this minimally invasive surgery new opportunity for a broad range of patients; however, it may not be suitable for every surgical candidate.
