Runner's Body

A "runner’s body." I want to challenge the definition of what constitutes a runner’s body in detail… someday. I have been told I have a runner’s body, but for transparency, I was on a cot in the medical tent after the marathon I bonked.

Food and Water

My guideline for supportive nutrient intake is simple. I consume the food I want; on the other hand I seldom eat as much as I want. I am Gluten Free but NOT much else in regards to restrictions.

Happy running: Equipment basics

If you have not considered running, it is inexpensive and accessible to most everyone anywhere. If you have questions ask a runner. Their responses are usually positive and full of emotion, if not ask another runner. Happy running!!

Don't think you can run a marathon?

In 1992 I stood at the finish line of the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon. The clock was at four hours, and the runners were on the last of the route heading toward the line. Their hair and clothes were drenched, and they moved in various expressions of exhaustion. I yelled encouragement and reassurances, but my attention was drawn to runners’ postures.
