- Stopping at green lights
- Making sudden stops for no apparent reason
- Coasting to near stop in moving traffic
- Failure to check blind spot
- Delay in changing lanes when an obstacle appears
- Drifting into other lanes
- Wrong lane prior to turn
- Wrong lane after turn
- Impulsive and unsafe left turn
- Attempted left turn when not allowed
- Attempted left turn on red
- In appropriate judgement in traffic
- Failure to yield right of way
- Misinterpretation of traffic signs
- Signaling late or not at all
- Driving while pressing the brake and accelerator simultaneously
- Failure to realize who other drivers are honking

Ask yourself the following questions:
- Have you recently had an accident or near miss?
- Does your family seem concerned about your driving?
- Are others afraid to ride with you, or do they always offer to drive?
- Have you been having trouble getting in or out of your car?
- Have you ever had a stroke or debilitating illness/condition (such as gout, arthritis, Parkinson's, etc?)
- Has your vision changed recently?
- Do you limit yourself to daytime driving only?
- Do you look through your steering wheel to drive?
- Is is difficult to reach the brake or gas pedals?
- Do you have any questions regarding your driving that we could help you with?
If you have answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, we may be able to help you. Please contact your doctor for a Drive Safely Assessment referral.
- A driving assessment may be beneficial for individuals who have experienced any of the following:
- Getting lost while driving in familiar areas
- Have been stopped by a police officer and informed of exhibiting poor driving behavior
- Have been advised by a health care provider to stop or restrict driving
- Have exhibited commonly identified driving errors (see side column for list)
