There is no cost to participate and the ways to be involved are completely up to you. Paint the Town Pink is meant to not only celebrate the month, but also increase community awareness and involvement.

 Paint the Town Pink was a way for Lakeshore businesses to spread the word on the importance of yearly mammograms by "painting" their business setting pink.
Support was shown by creating a pink idea that fits your business setting, such as:
- Store windows or displays decorated with pink merchandise
- Bakeries may have specials on pink cupcakes
- Salons could offer discounts on pink manicures
- Restaurants/bars may feature pink drinks or appetizers
- Clothing stores may have “pink tag” sales
Proceeds from apparel, light bulbs and event were donated to HFM's free mammogram program.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It could be you, your sister, your mother, your friend, or your daughter. By raising awareness, our hope is that the community realizes how powerful education and early detection are in the fight against breast cancer.
