Holy Family Memorial was recognized as a recipient of the Gold Well Workplace Award by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). The Gold Well Workplace Award recognizes an organization for its commitment to the health and well-being of their employees.
This is the second time HFM has received a Gold designation. WELCOA’s Gold Well Workplace Award recognizes organizations who have developed a comprehensive wellness program that is a strategic and integral part of a company's business strategy.
“We believe that great health for our community starts with our own organization, and this recognition is great evidence that we’re doing the right things,” said President and CEO Mark Herzog. “Our employees are our greatest asset, and we are committed to providing resources to support them with making healthier lifestyle choices and reaching their wellness goals.”
Employee Health Coordinator Judy Check, RN, COHN-S leads the Keys to Health Wellness Program at HFM. Through the program, employees are provided with tools and resources to help them understand their health status and to improve or maintain their health.
“We’re proud to receive this recognition from WELCOA,” said Check. It’s a testament to the support we’ve received for our wellness efforts and the steps our employees have taken to improve their health.
The Well Workplace Awards initiative is driven by a rigorous set of criteria outlined in WELCOA’s seven benchmarks to a result-oriented Well Workplace. Since its inception in 1991, over 1,000 organizations, ranging from educational institutions to non-profit and profit sectors have joined the list of “America’s Healthiest Companies” by receiving the Well Workplace Award.
