Holy Family Memorial welcomes nurse practitioner Lisa Turner, APNP to HFM Primary Care. She will be providing primary care services for the general public at HFM Primary Care @ Shady Lane, 1235 S. 24th Street, Manitowoc.

Turner brings more than 25 years of nursing experience to the HFM Primary Care team. She will be working alongside Dr. Cheryl Pitre at HFM Primary Care @ Shady Lane—one of HFM’s Neighborhood Care Clinics. Turner will provide a full range of primary and preventive services including physical exams, immunizations, nutrition and fitness management, and treatment of minor illness and management of chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

“I am excited about my move to Manitowoc and forming lasting relationships with individuals and families, and helping them maintain health throughout their life,” says Turner.

Turner earned her nursing degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. After 10 years of working in an intensive care unit, she decided to pursue a master of science in nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and obtain her family nurse practitioner certification. Turner recently completed her doctor of nursing practice degree from Chamberlain-Devry University in Addison, Illinois.

“I went into nursing because I wanted to help people and make a difference,” says Turner. “I believe family nurse practitioners play an important role in engaging patients in their care and helping them to understand their illness and empowering them to reach their optimal health.”

In her personal time, Turner enjoys playing the piano, skating and volunteering for non-profit organizations.

Lisa Turner is accepting new patients age 18 and older at HFM Primary Care @ Shady Lane. To schedule an appointment with her, call (920) 320-2436 or learn more at hfmhealth.org/Lisa-Turner.
