Holy Family Memorial is pleased to welcome Robert Bivins, MD, a family medicine physician to HFM Primary Care. Dr. Bivins will be located at HFM Lakefront Campus in Two Rivers.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Bivins cares for patients of all ages and provides a full range of primary care services, including preventive health, routine checkups, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and health management.
“I believe primary care doctors are like quarterbacks,” he says. “They manage the long-term care of patients pulling all the specialties together and working as a team.”
Dr. Bivins earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and completed a family medicine residency at Bethesda Family Practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and has a special clinical interest in caring for children, diabetes and geriatrics.
Dr. Bivins enjoys getting to know patients and providing strong continuity of care. “The doctor-patient relationship is very important to me,” he says. “I want patients to walk away from their appointment knowing that I care for their health and well-being and that we will work together to create a treatment plan.”
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Bivins enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, cooking and traveling.
