HFM announces Move Manitowoc winner.

2019 Move Manitowoc winner

Holy Family Memorial announced KDC/ONE Northern Labs as the winner of Move Manitowoc—a month-long community step challenge held in May to improve employee health and raise money for a good cause. As the winner, KDC/ONE Northern Labs will donate all competition proceeds, $2,750, to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, Inc.

Eleven organizations from Manitowoc County competed to achieve the highest average daily number of steps and earn money for their charity of choice. 283 participants walked a total of 82,755,709 steps or approximately 41,377 miles—that equates to walking 1.5 times around the Earth.

“We were thrilled to see the Manitowoc County community invest in employee health and engage in healthy workplace behaviors,” says Brett Norell, President and CEO at HFM. “Small, daily improvements are the key to long-term health and happiness; we hope this step-challenge created lasting improvements in our community’s health.”

Thank you to the organizations that participated in Move Manitowoc: KDC/ONE Northern Labs, Stecker Machine Company, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Kaysun Corporation, A.C.E. Building Service Inc, Manitowoc Ice—Welbilt, Holy Family Memorial, Lakeshore Community Health Care, Corporate Guardians of Northeast Wisconsin, Investors Community Bank and Skana Aluminum Company.
