To kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Holy Family Memorial Women’s Imaging Center and Lakeshore Radiology Associates will be offering mammography services on Saturdays in the month of October by appointment. Saturday screenings will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
One in eight women will develop breast cancer, and early detection is the key to positive outcomes. HFM Women’s Imaging Center offers the most advanced 3D digital breast imaging technology to detect breast abnormalities. An annual screening mammogram is recommended for women age 40 and over. Women with a family history of breast cancer should speak to their primary care provider to see when the best time is to start having an annual mammogram.
