Palliative care and hospice are both important aspects of the continuum of health care services. Sister Marlita Henseler, Pastoral Leader, St. Thomas the Apostle, and Nicole Reno, RN, CHPN, Holy Family Memorial (HFM) Hospice will discuss both and how they fit into the Catholic faith in the upcoming program Considering Comfort Care: Differentiating the Roles of Palliative Care and Hospice. Two sessions will be offered.
On Tuesday, March 3, Henseler and Reno will speak at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 81000 Brunner Road, Newton. The two will speak again at 6 p.m. Monday, March 23 in Marian Hall at St. Peter the Fisherman Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers. The programs are free, and reservations are not necessary.
