Holy Family Memorial (HFM) is pleased to share that its We Honor Veterans program, formerly First Friday for Veterans, is returning after a COVID-19 hiatus, effective Friday, July 31. The program is offered in the hospital’s Espresso Connection coffee shop and provides free coffee to veterans. All veterans are invited to take part.
In response to COVID-19, HFM has made some adjustments to the veterans’ coffee program. The event has expanded from the first Friday of each month to every Friday. Donuts or other treats have been added and will be free of charge to veterans as well. To allow for social distancing, the educational component of the program has been discontinued until further notice.
The We Honor Veterans program also honors HFM’s history. Manitowoc’s Memorial Hospital, which merged with Holy Family Hospital, was dedicated to veterans. Holy Family Memorial continues to be dedicated to the area’s veterans.
