HFM welcomes new primary care provider.

Holy Family Memorial is pleased to welcome Dr. Karen Nelson, a new primary care physician to HFM Primary Care.

Dr. Nelson has nearly 30 years of primary care experience and enjoys the variety that family medicine offers and the opportunity to care for patients of all ages. As a family physician, she likes to get to know her patients and their families to provide the best support for their good health. Her clinical interests include metabolic syndrome, weight control, sports medicine, and asthma and other breathing solutions.

She obtained her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed a family practice at North Colorado Family Practice. Dr. Nelson also earned a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Illinois. She is board certified by the American Board of Family medicine.

Dr. Nelson lives on a small farm with her husband and two dogs. One of her favorite hobbies is gardening with her husband and donating their fresh produce to local food pantries.
