Orthopaedic Surgeon Receives Certified Physician Executive Credentialing

Ryan M. Dopirak, MD, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Holy Family Memorial, has earned his Certified Physician Executive (CPE) designation from the American Association for Physician Leadership.

CPE designation is earned through completion of a four-part curriculum of courses. The components help physicians to explore the tactics and strategies needed to strengthen organizational values, streamline departmental processes, improve team performances, and lead themselves toward a fulfilling and impactful career. In addition to meeting both educational and experience requirements, CPE candidates must also pass a comprehensive three-and-a-half day Certifying Commission in Medical Management program.

Dr. Dopirak specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. In addition to seeing patients at HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics, Dr. Dopirak serves as the executive medical director of the musculoskeletal service line at HFM which encompasses orthopaedics, pain management, rehabilitation therapy, chiropractic care and a medically-based wellness center. In his role as medical director, Dr. Dopirak collaborates with an Executive Director of Operations in steering the strategy and tactics of these departments.

Earning the credential of CPE means Dr. Dopirak has demonstrated his commitment to quality, communication and excellence in health care.

Dr. Dopirak graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Mount Carmel Health System. He completed a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at the world-renowned Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, California.
