When it comes to decisions about your health care, it’s important that your wishes can be carried out when you cannot speak for yourself. An advance directive can help. Holy Family Memorial will be offering free advance directive consultations on Friday, February 12 in the Cooperstown Room at HFM Harbor Town Campus, 1650 S. 41st Street, Manitowoc. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In some situations, illnesses or injuries can prevent patients from being able to communicate their wishes. An advance directive for health care ensures your health care wishes are honored. During your consultation with a specially trained staff from HFM, you will review and make an informed decision about your health care choices and have them documented. The advance directive for health care will relieve your family or caregivers from the burden of deciding what you want to be done under certain circumstances.
