Manitowoc’s Holy Family Memorial Names Dr. Michael DeGere Next Vice President and Chief Medical Officer

DeGere Brings Nearly 20 Years’ Experience as Practicing Podiatric Physician and Health System Executive

Michael DeGereManitowoc, Wis., (May 3, 2021) – Today, Manitowoc’s Holy Family Memorial announced that it has named Michael DeGere, DPM, MBA, FACHE, to serve as its next Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, effective May 24, 2021.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. DeGere will oversee Holy Family Memorial’s clinical operations and medical staff. He will play a key role in leading Holy Family Memorial to achieve its goals of expanding services, improving access to care and driving care coordination through Holy Family Memorial’s affiliation with the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network.

Dr. DeGere has worked as a practicing podiatric physician and health system executive since 2002, most recently as regional vice president, Population Health for SSM Health in Madison, Wis. In that role, DeGere led an interdisciplinary team to improve community health outcomes and clinical operations for SSM Health’s Wisconsin Region. He certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and in Health Care Management by the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management.
