Nurse Practitioner Joins HFM Cancer Center

Manitowoc, Wis., January 3, 2021 –Holy Family Memorial (HFM) is pleased to welcome Amber Kornely, DNP, FNP-BC. Amber will see patients at the HFM Cancer Center.

As a nurse practitioner, Kornely works in collaboration with medical oncologist Dr. Lynn Baatz, conduct patient assessments, assist with patient care plans, provide health exams, order diagnostic tests, and coordinate with other members of a cancer patient’s health care team.

Kornely has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellin College of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She went on to earn a Doctor of Nurse Practice from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2017.

Kornely is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society. In her spare time, Kornely enjoys spending time with her husband and children and their two golden retrievers. Her hobbies include camping, gardening, knitting, reading, and exercising.
