HFM to host mobile blood drive in March.

Every three seconds, someone needs a blood donation. Holy Family Memorial, in affiliation with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, is collaborating with Versiti BloodCenter of Wisconsin to host a mobile blood drive on Tuesday, March 8, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the HFM Medical Center, 2300 Western Avenue, Manitowoc.

Eligible donors are encouraged to donate to help patients facing trauma and other life-threatening situations. Blood donors must be 16 years or older to donate. Individuals who are 16 years old must be in general good health and meet the general criteria to donate with parental consent. Donors should bring a photo ID or blood donor card, eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating.

Donation stations will use appropriate social distancing. Donors are required to wear a face mask as a precautionary measure regardless of vaccination status. Donors who are not feeling well or have tested positive for COVID-19 should not schedule an appointment to donate blood until they are symptom-free for 14 days and feeling well.

Donors will receive a coupon for a buy one, get one entrée from Noodles & Company, while supplies last. Donors should park in the main hospital parking lot and walk across the street to the HFM Riverview Parking Lot where the mobile blood drive unit will be parked.

Appointments are encouraged; walk-ins are welcome. To schedule a blood donation appointment, visit hfmhealth.org/blood-drive or call 920-320-2243.
