HFM Leaders Speak at National Conference
Holy Family Memorial President and CEO Mark Herzog recently presented at the American College of Healthcare Executive’s 2013 Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.
He was a part of a team who presented “Applying Lean, Six Sigma and Blue Ocean Thinking to your Reform Strategy.” Herzog presented HFM’s story of innovation and transformation in preparing for health care reform.
Also presenting at the conference were HFM’s Dr. Amy Stockhausen, pediatrician at HFM Pediatrics and Associate Medical Director of Provider Culture Shaping; Laura Fielding, Administrative Director of Organizational Development and Sara Hockers, Administrative Director of Physician Services. They presented "Shape Your Culture for Results – Hospital/Physician Collaboration,” sharing how HFM transitioned from a traditional and static volume-based environment to a non-traditional, dynamic, value-based healthcare environment in which collaboration among physician, staff and leaders is no longer a nice thing, but a necessary thing.
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional society of more than 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. The annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership gives leaders the opportunity to connect with colleagues, find solutions to challenges and explore the new healthcare frontier. ACHE's 2013 Congress on Healthcare Leadership is considered healthcare management’s premier education and networking event.
