Surgical Technologist Honored for Career Milestone
Chris Chaloupka, surgical technologist/first assist at Holy Family Memorial, was recently honored by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) for achieving an important milestone in her career as a surgical first assistant. Chris has maintained certification for 20 years as a Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA). The NBSTSA is proud to honor all milestone recipients for their hard work and commitment to the profession.
Chaloupka came to HFM in November of 1973 as a surgical technologist, and received her certification in 1973. She received additional training as a first assistant and became certified in that area in 1993.
Established in 1974 and headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, the mission of the NBSTSA is to provide professional certification of surgical technologists (CSTs) and surgical first assistants (CSFSs), thus promoting quality patient care in the surgical setting.
