Olivia Alexander, MA LPC is a skilled mental health therapist certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, CBT-psychosis, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Alexander uses these modalities to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, ADHD, and a combination of mental health symptoms. She has worked in the human services field for 17 years, mainly working with children and adolescents, in conjunction with their families. Ms. Alexander has worked with adults and looks forward to increasing her skills in working with couples. She really appreciates working with families within their homes; Olivia feels there is a better sense of connectedness when families are engaged in therapy within the confines of their own personal space. Ms. Alexander finds it very rewarding for families to allow her to come into their space and accept her assistance. Olivia has developed strong interpersonal skills that lead her to build powerful rapport and relationships with her clients and their families.
She continues to strive towards growth in different intervention modalities and therapeutic skills to provide the best possible service to her clients. Ms. Alexander feels that helping others in the form of therapy and building relationships is her calling and feels blessed to have a career that fulfills her. Although Olivia completely appreciates the process of therapy and building rapport with clients, she is also not naïve to the toll it can take on the client, the family, and herself. Olivia is constantly self-reflecting and identifying ways to improve her own coping skills. Not only does she study techniques, but she also tries hard to practice what she preaches.

Olivia is a people person and enjoys interacting with others, which sometimes gets her into long conversations, so beware you may spend hours together and not realize the time flying by. Olivia loves ColdStone Creamery and, if it were healthy to do, would eat it every day if she could. Olivia has a huge, sweet tooth, and makes sure she keeps up with her dentist appointments. Olivia has a BIG family; her husband, and five children (2 girls and 3 boys) and they all keep her on her toes. Olivia is looking forward to working with you.
