During regular business hours, the EAP Office Assistant will assist people with scheduling an appointment or talking with an EAP Consultant. An EAP Consultant is available 24/7 for crisis intervention via telephone.

Everyone experiences times when personal issues, family problems or a crisis affects the way they function at work or at home. While some problems may be solved easily, others can be more difficult and may benefit from the help of professional resources. That’s why many organizations offer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for their employees. EAP helps employees and their families deal with situations before they develop into more serious concerns, possibly causing lost work time. At participating employers HFM Work Health Options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to all employees and their immediate family members and children up to age 26 living in the household. Our Employee Assistance Program provides professional counselors to confidentially address issues which concern you and/or your family. There is no cost to employees since this is employer-paid. EAP is also available to help leaders, managers and supervisors with employee issues – as well as Human Resource professionals.
EAP is here to provide early intervention to help you deal with challenges in your life, such as marital and family, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, and other work-related issues, before those issues jeopardize your health, family life, or job performance. The program offers you sensitive, professional and confidential support. Our staff has over 40 years of experience and are available to help.
All who seek assistance are ensured of full confidentiality. When a supervisor refers an employee to EAP, the employee will be asked to release the information that a plan of action has been developed and that the employee is participating in that plan. Only life-threatening situations outweigh client confidentiality. Participation in EAP will not jeopardize job security or opportunity for advancement.
The investment of the initial assessment/interview and follow up sessions are offered as a benefit by your employer at no charge. While the majority of EAP sessions are held at Work Health Options in Manitowoc, alternate assessment sites can be arranged for those that live outside the Manitowoc area.
