Manitowoc, Wis., (May 19, 2023) – Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of William Alvarez, MD, gastroenterologist, and Jennifer Giebel, APNP, to the gastroenterology clinic. Dr. Alvarez is a board-certified gastroenterologist with 20 years of experience providing comprehensive digestive care. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Córdoba School of Medicine in Argentina. He also received training in liver disease in Barcelona and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Alvarez completed an internal medicine residency, and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.
Dr. Alvarez is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of all conditions involving the digestive tract and liver, and providing care to patients in Manitowoc County. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Alvarez enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cooking and traveling.
Jennifer Giebel received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and gut health. Jennifer strives to practice with compassion and build strong rapport with patients, giving them more autonomy and a bigger voice in their health care, using all available resources to provide the care they need. Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and pets, camping and traveling.
