There are many reasons to want to lose weight—from improving your health and fitness, to keeping up with your kids and grandkids, to preventing chronic health conditions. No matter the reason—we can help!

The HFM Why Weight Program can help you lose weight and reduce your chance of getting type 2 diabetes and other chronic conditions.

How do I know if this program is for me?

  • Are you an adult who is overweight?
  • Do you have a family history of diabetes?
  • Have you ever been told by a health care professional that you have prediabetes, borderline diabetes, high blood sugar, or had gestational diabetes while pregnant?

What do I need to know about this program?

It works! The program is proven to help people lose weight and lower their risk of type 2 diabetes by 58%. With the help of a lifestyle coach and supportive classmates who are going through the same challenges as you, you will learn ways to change your lifestyle to improve your health.

The HFM Why Weight Program utilizes the National Diabetes Prevention Program, an evidence-based weight loss program.

New HFM Why Weight session starting in September

Tuesdays & Thursdays • 4-5 p.m.
Beginning Tuesday, September 11

Why Weight classes on Tuesday will be classroom education. Exercise classes will be held on Thursdays, starting October 11 through January 10.
