Holy Family Memorial (HFM) is proud to welcome three new providers to HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics’ Total Joint Clinic—Robert Limoni, MD, Brian Raguse, PA-C and Kara McClone, PA-C.
Dr. Robert Limoni
Dr. Limoni is a tenured and skilled orthopaedic surgeon who has completed thousands of joint replacements in Northeastern Wisconsin since 2001. A native of Manitowoc, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed an orthopaedic residency at Grand Rapids Orthopaedic Surgery Program in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. Limoni has dedicated his orthopaedic career to optimizing patient outcomes after hip and knee surgeries. He has participated in several research projects and pioneered the use of cryotherapy and other pain-relieving techniques to reduce hospitalization stays and the use of narcotics and other pain medications during recovery. His work in pre-surgical care to improve patient health and improve surgical outcomes aligns with HFM’s mission of bringing innovation and patient-centered care to the lakeshore area. In addition, Dr. Limoni has been instrumental in the creation of positioning devices that assist with better patient placement during surgery.
“I enjoy every aspect of orthopaedic patient care,” Dr. Limoni said. “There’s no greater feeling than seeing a patient who was previously suffering from significant pain and dysfunction walk into your office pain-free and back to their baseline activity level.”
Brian Raguse, PA-C
Brian Rasguse, PA-C, is a new provider at HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics. He has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of orthopaedic specialties including total hip and knee, shoulder, hand and sports medicine procedures. Additionally, he has experience as a surgical assistant as well as post-operative care in total joint replacement such as hip and knee in addition to common injuries associated with general orthopaedics.
“The health and well-being of my patients my number one priority. I believe that it is important to get to know each patient in order to treat their individual needs, improve their health and provide them with the highest standard of care,” says Raguse. “There is nothing more satisfying than when patients return for follow-up and show increased range of motion and mobility and have had a positive improvement to their quality of life.”
Raguse is a nationally certified Physician Assistant from the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. He graduated from Marquette University with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. In his free time, Raguse enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle by working out, hiking, kayaking and biking. He also enjoys reading and cooking, and misses attending live sporting events and concerts.
Kara McClone, PA-C
Kara McClone is a physician assistant at HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She then attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts where she completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Kara is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
She will work alongside hip and knee surgeon Dr. Limoni in the office and the operating room. In addition to assisting in surgery, Kara’s responsibilities include seeing new and post-operative patients, performing joint injections and providing general orthopaedic care.
Kara enjoys all aspects of patient care and seeing patients get back to doing their favorite activities after treatment or surgery. On her days off work, you can catch Kara spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading and enjoying time outdoors.
The addition of Dr. Limoni and his team brings a new level of care and innovation to the HFM orthopaedic total joint team. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Limoni, call HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics at (920) 320-5241.
