Fitness Classes

Group Fitness classes offered at the Wellness Center

Whether you’re a fitness buff or a true first-timer, our fitness classes give you the options and flexibility to find the right fit for your schedule and your fitness goals. And best of all, unlike many other fitness facilities, even classes like cycling, Pound, step, TRX® and yoga are included in your membership with no additional fees.

Our current class offerings include:


360 Fitness Training with Luz

The class will focus on your upper and lower body, balance, flexibility, core stability and strength. Four-week classes begin at the start of each month. The class meets once per week.


Aqua Joint Health

Low impact class designed to increase range of motion, strength, and daily function while reducing fatigue and pain.


Butts and Guts

A low impact class designed for strengthening and toning your glutes and core.


Cancer Wellness: Diagnosis and Beyond

People with cancer may have physical and emotional concerns that affect quality of life. The Cancer Wellness Program focuses on the “CAN” in cancer — improving function, reducing pain and enhancing overall well-being. 

The program is appropriate for any cancer patient, regardless of cancer type, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-3:15 p.m.

Cycling

Our group cycling class is designed for all fitness levels and includes various cycling drills that offer an exhilarating cardiovascular workout. Remember to grab a number from the front desk to reserve your bike before cycling class begins!


Deep Blue

Held in our lap pool, this unique aquatic workout utilizes water’s natural resistance to develop core strength and balance while improving your cardiovascular endurance. And floatation belts help add to the challenge with deep water resistance.


Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is structured around rejuvenating and healing your body. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and straps are often used for safe practice and to allow your body to fully achieve each position comfortably. This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.


H2O Fitness

A high energy class suitable for all fitness levels utilizing aqua bells, noodles, and kickboards with a focus on sustained cardio, core strength, and improving overall muscle tone.


Pain Neuroscience Education Class

The Pain Neuroscience Education program helps individuals take control of their chronic pain and health and get back the life they want. The program uses a mind-body approach based on current neuroscience research and includes other strategies and exercises for treating pain

Parkinson’s Disease Exercise Class

People with Parkinson’s disease frequently have gait impairments, difficulty linking movements together smoothly and episodes of freezing.

This class helps individuals in all stages of Parkinson’s disease maintain their function and improve balance.

Schedule:
Meets Mondays and Thursdays

Times:
12:30-1:30 p.m. – Advanced exercises
1:30-2:20 p.m. – Modified exercises

Pound

A full body cardio jam session inspired by the energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums!


Tai Chi

A low impact joint health class with agile steps, high stances, gentle movements, and relaxed breathing.


Total Strength

A strength class using a variety of equipment, including barbells and dumbbells, aiming to build full body strength.


TRX®

This popular suspension trainer exercise system leverages gravity and your bodyweight to allow you to perform hundreds of efficient, effective exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise because you’re able to adjust your body position to increase or decrease resistance accordingly.


Yoga

Connect the mind and body with movements and breath, working together while building strength, flexibility, and relaxation. This class is a higher intensity than gentle yoga, but can be modified to fit individual abilities and experience.
